Senior Room

Welcome to Senior Room

The senior class have been working very hard to improve their fitness levels since September. Every day, we complete 12 laps of our school yard at 12.00. Our original aim was to run for 1 mile every day. However, as each week went by, we realised that we were capable of so much more than 1 mile per day! On Friday, the 11th of December, we succeeded in running from our school to the Harry Blaney Bridge, a total of 6.6km! We had a lot of fun and we are so proud to have earned a daily mile flag for our school! We are also aware that ‘What’s good for the body is good for the mind’ and vice versa. We have all been focusing on our mental health this year and we know that running allows us to clear our heads, exercise and get lots of fresh air. It encourages us to take a break from our screens and appreciate the beautiful nature of our local area. Plus it’s a completely free form of exercise which doesn’t require a partner or a group to enjoy! So many benefits!
